God's Dream?

What do you think God's dream for the world might be ?

It would be easy to oversimplify this question and say that God's dream for the world is that every one should have a sense of peace, joy, and a belief in the almighty. However if this is God's dream, then why doesn’t he/she/it just snap his fingers and make it happen; it seems pretty obvious to me that he/she/it isn't going to do this anytime soon so what is the dream. I believe the dream has a lot to do with humanity and the ability for humanity to give a hand to one another.

We are here for a purpose (if you don't believe me then check out the back of the Starbucks cup with Ricky Warrens quote on it)and maybe that purpose is to love God and express that love with humanity.

Last night I saw "Walk the Line," the early life story of Johnny Cash. Great movie! Two images stick out in my mind as far as this question goes: (heavily paraphrased)
1) Record Producer: "Christians don't care about a bunch of low down criminals."
Johnny: "Then I guess they aren't Christians"
2) The way June Carter Cashes family helps Cash get over his addictions. It would have been easy to let him go down on his own but I think they show genuine love to a person who seemed beyond help.

I could be wrong that this God's main dream, but I know this genuine love for one another is at least a thought in the dreams of the man upstairs.

WARNING: The following is just late night ramblings while listening to some real music. No offense meant and DON'T read this is you don't want to waste 1.5 minutes of your life.

Maybe God's dream is that more people will listen to Gary P. Nunn's song, "What I Like About Texas" and take it to heart. Maybe God wants everyone to experience half of the things in that song while they are still walking this earth. Blue Bonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, Cold Lonestars, Barton Springs, and the rest. There is a lot of truth in the tall pines of east Texas, the stories behind the Texas missions, and a good meal at Mi Terrias in San Antonio. I’m not sure100% of the dream but I’m glad that I’m in Texas and I can call Wellspring my home and spew random non-sense without a sense of judgment. Thanks

amen . . . and in no way do i think that's nonsense. the thing that helped me most in the hard times from which i'm just emerging is the sense that Christ said we get the "abundant" life . . . and i'm fairly clear on on the fact that for me abundance includes bluebonnets, paintbrushes and Texas sunsets!
